What is an ATC again?

We all love butterflies so let's see you get creative!

A few rules for creating ATCs -

• measure 2.5 x 3.5 inches (64 X 89 mm)
• be traded for other cards - not sold
• be flat enough to fit into a plastic trading card sleeve
• be signed and dated on the back of the card

Happy Little Stampers is having an
ATC Challenge!

Some of you are probably thinking
"What in the world is an ATC?!"

Precisely why I left the rules in PINK above to help you out!
(Or you got this far and thought "I already read what it is so this is kind of a redundant blog, yeesh!")

Gee, I hope this image above truly is a butterfly and not a moth. That would be embarrassing!

I hope you learned a little about ATC's today and maybe jumped in with both feet and joined the HLS's challenge with me!

Only, make your own butterfly card, no snitching mine ;)
(Yours is bound to come out better anyway,
so what are you waiting for?!)

(No butterflies were harmed in the making of this ATC)

See you next blog!

Doily Safari

http://creativeknockouts.blogspot.ca/

This week:
DOILY DELIGHT
Sponsored by:

I had to go on the hunt for this challenge. After moving this past fall, everything landed in not-so-convenient places and spaces. A doily wasn't a necessity so that, my friends, was the elusive animal!

Awww! So sorry to say I didn't find this cute animal while searching for the doily creature but...
He is CUTE!!

I did finally locate the doily in its natural habitat. A plastic storage bin with handle and it was locked in safe and secure,
safe as a bug in a rug if you will ;)
(Only it's not a bug and the bin isn't really a rug...)

It was a gold breed of the fancy doily and I'm pretty sure someone gifted it to me.
(If that was you, I deeply regret not feeding and taking care of it as I should, but take heart that it's still as sparkly as when I first got it.)

Not the exact doily I had, but close!
(For those that fall in love with the sparkle and just have to have it!)

At the end of my hunt, I subdued the creature on a 6x6 white cardstock base and added punch out flowers of red pattern paper and a few from Yupo Paper that had been alcohol inked.

(You can check out the alcohol ink series HERE)
Each video is linked in the description box of #4

I crinkled the gorgeous species to make room for the "miracle" fluttering out of the magical garden!
(See the card sentiment, it'll make more sense!)
(Umm. I think you can just click on the photo to make it larger if you're old like me and your cheaters aren't strong enough!)

Enjoy your day and join me in a challenge!
The hunt begins here!
Where's your doily?

Sunny Day Cafting, literally this time!

It's a sunny day here in southern Wisconsin and I'm spending it crafting and doing card challenges!
(Ok, I'm not totally without chores, first I did 4 hours of homework and I'm working on laundry since it's right next to my studio)

All work and no play makes Jen a dull girl!

If you're up for a creative challenge, might I suggest posting on the Sunny Day Crafting blog?

What image do you think of when you see DUCKS as a theme?

Here's what I waddled off and found in my digi archives!
Too cute!

Stick around the blog for more! I'll be using this day for some well-deserved SUNNY DAY CRAFTING

Whew! Look at that view! Too bad it's not where I live ;)
Have an awesome day, see you next time!

Is it just me or is...

IS IT JUST ME OR IS...

It a real thing that everyone is constantly tired?

I gave up the "DIET DEW" hoping that would make me less tired, less stressed, less anxious, heck, less something! lol

BUT...

I'm still tired!!!

So I started listening. I started watching. I started eavesdropping.
Not eavesdropping, what kind of person do you think I am?!
All of this, with my co-workers.

And you know what I found?!?

WE.  ARE.  ALL.  TIRED.

SURPRISE!!

So you might be thinking
"what kind of work does she do?"

The answer is:  I work with CHILDREN

To be exact, SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN

We are on our toes constantly, physically and emotionally, because every moment with these kiddos can be unpredictable!

They are SILLY

They are FUN

They are PRECIOUS

and

They are EXHAUSTING!

The list goes on, but you get the point :)  But back to my thought, because I didn't come here to talk about the angels I work with. I came here to see if anyone could chime in about being tired.

Are you ok if you keep going after work, errands, groceries, activities, stopping off at the bar, gossiping with friends...

Naww, I'm just kidding about the bar! lol Unless you saw me there, in that case, I was just picking up dinner!

So yeah, as long as I keep moving and grooving, I'm FINE.

BUT. SIT. MY. BUTT. DOWN. FOR. 5. MINUTES.

and it's lights out!!

Great picture, only I'm usually at home and I don't have black hair, nor do I wear high heels of any kind, or dresses hardly ever, and never travel...

And again I digress...

So tell me..

IS IT JUST ME? OR IS THIS TIRED THING AND EPIDEMIC?

I'll be looking for you in the comments,
don't let me down!

April Showers Bring...

APRIL SHOWERS BRING

SNOW PLOWERS!

(A quote from my aunt)

You would think that living up in the north we'd be used to the snow by now.

MIRACULOUSLY though... it's as if the year erases our memory of the previous 4 seasons because we are always

ASTONISHED when we get snow!

I think maybe we forget that sometimes Easter lands in the middle of April and there's been many-a-Easter I've searched for eggs outside in the snow!

HAVE YOU?

Plenty of time left for muddy trails boots and dirty kitchen floors when spring finally arrives!

Which reminds me...

Do you know a good housekeeper?!

(now back to our regularly scheduled blog)

Sunny Day Crafting actually has nothing to do with the winter we're having this spring. It's the next card challenge I've decided to try out!

I love their mantra
"LET YOUR CRAFTY SIDE BE FREE!"

Rock on!

The theme this "Bunnies"

Awwww!

I went teeny tiny with this one.
She wore an itsy bitsy teeny tiny yellow polka dot bikini...  No. even smaller! (I know! How does she do it?!)

Keep scrolling, I swear I put my project in here somewhere!!

It's gonna be SO worth the wait! I promise :)

(Lovely elevator music playing for your enjoyment)
